Meet the Teacher
Welcome to Magistra Catholic Classical Resource Co. ❤︎
My name is Chelsea Niemiec and I am a cradle Catholic, former full-time teacher, mother, and lifelong learner! I have my Masters degree in Classical Education from the University of Dallas and have nearly a decade of experience in both teaching and administrative capacities.
Many students struggle with learning for a variety of reasons. I know it can be very difficult for parents to see their students agonizing over homework, experiencing test anxiety, or facing failure and disappointment. Or perhaps your students isn’t struggling, per se, but is simply in need of more one-on-one instruction. I have cared for many types of students over the years.
One thing they all have in common is that they all want to learn, given proper instruction and care.
My calling is to help parents to provide the instruction and care that each student needs to succeed. My teaching style is primarily Catholic, meaning that I integrate the virtues and Faith into everything I do. I see your student through a holistic perspective, as a whole being destined for heaven, not only for college and a career. Secondly, my teaching style is classical, meaning I draw from the past (think the ancient Greeks and Romans, William Shakespeare, Copernicus, J.R.R. Tolkien, Abraham Lincoln, and everyone in between). I aim to teach how the Church and the Saints have always encouraged teachers to teach. I tailor my approach to each student, meeting them where they are, and partnering with parents to foster growth, progress, and openness.
I have nearly a decade of experience working with students of all ages and teaching a variety of disciplines, including: mathematics, science, nature study, Socratic seminar, grammar, literature, history, and poetry.
I am also qualified to tutor:
Latin, penmanship, logic, rhetoric, upper level science courses, art, music, ethics, philosophy, great works of the Ancient/Renaissance/Baroque/Modern world, and various niche courses (such as British literature, Inklings, Western philosophy, etc.).
Book a session.
Tutoring for Students
I would be honored to work with your family in supporting your student’s academic and spiritual growth.
For tutoring, I will provide materials and exercises for various disciplines as needed.
